Our fundraising campaign for Black Philanthropy Month is themed #LegacyThroughGiving.
Rooted in the living and lasting impact of people, and acts of collective organizing and care that continue to shape Black communities in Metro Vancouver, and throughout the African diaspora.
This goes beyond the month of August alone, this is an opportunity to learn, invest and offer sustained support to Hogan’s Alley Society’s team and mission!
Founded in 2000 by Dr. Jacqueline Bouvier Copeland and the movement has grown tremendously and in it’s 26th year, continues to honour the various ways that Black communities in the US and across the diaspora have built, sustained, and uplifted one another across generations.
Join Hogan's Alley Society as we celebrate with "Legacy Through Giving"
Our global fundraiser will come with a month-long, storytelling series exploring the impact of people, traditions, and acts of philanthropy that continue to shape Black communities in Metro Vancouver and throughout the African diaspora.
From historical change-makers to everyday community builders, we'll share the many forms Black philanthropy can take—and why emulating and preserving this legacy remains as important today as ever.
